Perez Bryan Procope (www.pbplawyers.com) is an established boutique firm in Toronto specializing in health law, estate advocacy and civil rights litigation. We are seeking a motivated junior lawyer (1-2 years) or articling student to join our team.

Candidates can expect a broad range of litigation-focused experience including:

  • Observing, assisting with and, where available, carriage of court and tribunal proceedings;
  • Direct client and witness contact for intakes, interviews and correspondence;
  • Preparation of court documents such as factums, applications, motions, affidavits;
  • Legal research and writing;
  • File management and strategy development; and
  • Assisting with internal firm processes.

The successful candidate will have strong academic performance and excellent writing skills. Other preferred attributes include: experience working with vulnerable populations; demonstrated dedication to social justice; organizational and time management skills; attention to detail; excellent communication skills; integrity, professionalism and good judgment; demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

The position is primarily remote, with in-person attendances and appointments as needed. We work collegially and are dedicated to mentorship and training.

Anticipated start date is May 1, 2023. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and the role.
