PBP Lawyers Spoke at Consent, Capacity & Substitute Decision Making Program

Mercedes Perez and Alex Procope spoke at Osgoode Professional Development‘s The Legal Guide to Consent, Capacity & Substitute Decision Making program in December 2020. The program attendees included lawyers, health practitioners and care facility administrators.

Through case studies, Mercedes discussed the application of the Substitute Decisions Act, 1992. Also, Mercedes was one of the panel speakers who wrapped up the program answering questions that arose from the presentations throughout the day.

Alex spoke on the panel Preparing for a Hearing at the Consent and Capacity Board. An area he shared much insight on was the patient and patient’s lawyer’s perspectives on a Consent and Capacity Board hearing.

PBP lawyers routinely represent clients at Consent and Capacity Board hearings. To discuss a specific case or a potential speaking opportunity with any of the lawyers, please contact them at 416-320-1914 or contact@pbplawyers.com.
